Issue with modifier - want to modify perimeters

Hello all, I have issue when I want to have more perimeters in screw hole, I added new generic box modifier - and set up 4 perimeters to be printed, however the print looks like it is printing perimeters all along the box modifier not just the screw hole, see picture.
I dont need 4 perimeters everywhere just where screw belongs. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I dont think there should be supposed 4 perimeters around the modifier.

That's the way modifiers in PS work.  It in effect slices it as a separate object when you have differences like perimeters.  So you get the perimeters around the modifier AND the perimeters for the 'main' object.

If you want more perimeters then you have to have a cylinder sized just correctly for the hole.  Oh and its best to put it just below the surface so it doesn't effect the top layers.

Which given the difficultly of placing them precisely without an xray mode (which has also been requested on the PS github) means that usually its easier to model the modifiers into your model as Parts and then when loaded you can then use the split to parts option, and select the modifiers at that point, change to type modifier and then do all the different settings.

Well, you could make your modifier part a cylinder and not a box, then scale it just a little larger than the hole, so that you get the desired amount of perimeters around the hole, like so:
