steel sheet profiles? are they still a thing?

I have just got my MK4S upgrade up and running with slicer 2.8.1 ( was using 2.7.4 with my mk3s+ because color change was not cooperating in 2.8.1) I have not printed PETG yet with the new equipment, is the textured sheet recognized when printing or something else ??? can someone explain...

RE:

With the MK4 and MK4s simple place a sheet on the bed and start printing. No need to do anything further at all. In fact, there are some videos on YouTube where people print onto a sheet of card!

The normal adhesion rules still apply. So smooth sheet for PLA, textured for PETG etc, or Satin as a 'best of both'. Other than this nothing further is needed with regards to any printer settings.

I used the Textured sheet for PETG right after making the conversion, and had no problems at all. Did not have to change anything .

With the load cell detecting contact of the hotend with the steel sheet, sheet profiles are no longer used in Prusa's new models. The load cell will determine the optimal distance from the sheet.

However...

For my Mk4S's that works as advertised for PLA, most of the time. For PETG (or ASA, PCCF, etc) on textured or satin sheet I find I need to manually adjust the live z offset by -0.1 or -0.15 once the print starts. So unlike the Mk3S, which was set and go once the live z offset was dialed in for a particular sheet, I need to babysit the Mk4S much more.

Odd. I haven't had any issues with bed adhesion for any filament that I've printed (PLA, PETG, ColorFabb HT) on either the textured or satin sheets. Are you sure your print sheets are immaculately clean?
