Self-test Y axis fail
Hi, I ‘ve just finished reassembling my first 3D printer Prusa mk4s. As you can see my self-test Y axis failed. Could you tell me how to fix it?
RE: Self-test Y axis fail
About this same issue, there are approximately a thousand threads described here in front of you, including various approaches to solving it. Please take a little look!
RE: Self-test Y axis fail
Thank you for the useless information... It may surprise you, but I spent many hours looking for a solution, browsing through all possible sources. What's more, yesterday, two specialists from the Prusa service spent over four hours trying to help me, to no avail.
RE: Self-test Y axis fail
So why are you starting another useless thread? Go through all your steps when assembling the Y-axis carriage again, focusing on carefully checking the position of all parts. It is best to disassemble the entire assembly and reassemble it while carefully checking all steps! The position of the two bearings on the left side is important! Also, check if you have not swapped the belt tensioner parts. This is a common mistake (the tensioning long screw must face forward)! To better monitor the position of the carriage, remove the heated pad and put it aside behind the printer and try the carriage movements. Also, look at the Y distance value in the lower part of the display. At the moment of impact in the front, it should be about 211 mm. In the video, this value seems smaller (about 194 mm, it is difficult to see). If there is less than 211, check how far the Y carriage moves back and what it stops at. Check the same in the front position!
