Nozzle changing
I’m looking at buying my first Prusa....a MK4S. I’m a long time E3V2 user with many modifications & swapping a nozzle is relatively easy.
However, I am looking for is a quick and easy nozzle change process viz to easily swap nozzle diameters or hardness. I don't want to use hardened nozzles when they are not needed IMO print quietly suffers.
Looking at the FAQ - it seems that Prusa recommend partial disassembly of the hot end and removal of the heat block to change a nozzle. This could push me to a Bambu.
In user experience is that the case or is there a quicker way?.
Tx.
RE: Nozzle changing
Yes, there is an easier way. The MK4S Nozzle Replacement Tool by Prusa Research on Printables. It holds the heater block so you just unscrew the nozzle.
RE: Nozzle changing
Here's a link to the tool mike-b mentioned. The "Details" tab there includes instructions.
MK4S Nozzle Change Tool
This makes it WAY easier than removing the entire assembly (and then trying to get all the wires back in that extruder channel).
