MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
Printer gets stuck with status of 99% Parking.
After starting a print, the temperatures reach preheat, bed leveling executes, extruder heats to temp, extruder produces purge line at the left front of the build plate, then lifts and moves to the right. Sequence halts at the 99% parking state. The only recovery is to RESET.
Anyone seeing this?
RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
I see this to after firmware update to 6.4.0-alpha+11774
its not on all prints it happens
but when it happens I do power off/on and started the same print .. then it runs flawless.
hope for fix in next firmware

Seems like this did not get fixed on the RC
RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
The same here on my mk4s with the alpha-firmware.
After a reset it works without problems
RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
This happened to me last night. It's weird - I "paused" the job from Prusa Connect, no change. I "cancelled" the job from Connect, still no change. But I was able to get it out of the stuck state (at least from a UI perspective) and was moving around the menu, although I don't think any menu items were able to be clicked.
I pushed the reset button and restarted the print after clearing the plate and it worked fine. Definitely looks like a bug.

Idem with 6.4.0-RC+11796 😮
RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
Hey there,
Same here, only a reset seems to be the option for me to get things running again.
Firmware: 6.4.0-RC+11796 --> Previous firmware version I noticed the same issue by the way.
Will this "bug" be noticed by the Prusa development team reading this forum? Or would we need some extra action trigger to them?

a message on the Github page may be more Fruitful.

RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
Thanks, I will do so.
BTW: I reversed the firmware to 6.2.6. The problem isnt occuring anymore it seems. n=1 so no proof yet I guess.
Best, Jeroen.

I would have thought this was Prusa’s “official” forum; after all it is linked by their website whereas GitHub is not. This issue was pointed out here before the latest RC was released. But GitHub is where Joe Prusa hangs out. Doesn’t seem like he values these opinions much.
MK4S/MMU3
Prusa devs don't read the whole forum; they do seem to read replies to release announcements for a while but to report effectively GitHub is best.
Cheerio,
RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
MK4S + MMU3 + Prusa Brass Nozzle - 0.4 m FW 6.4.0-RC+11796- Filament Jam Detection: ON ;Single Brass Nozzle Setting
With Prusa Nozzle brass CHT - 0.4 mm and adequate parameter (high flow) in the config the blocking seemed less frequent but happens in the middle of a prints (3x).
Return to previous firmware?
Return to previous firmware?
Of course, that's the whole point of an alpha or beta release: report the issue (github) and return to stable software until there is another pre-release to test.
Cheerio,
RE: MK4S +MMU3 + 6.40 Alpha FW - Stuck at Reloading Filament - 99% Parking
I spent some time searching, but I can't find a GitHub Bug report for this issue. Anyone have a link?
When this happens, I notice that it purges a lot more filament at the start of the purge line than normal. I haven't had it happen twice in a row, either - after the reset, re-printing either from Connect or the front panel seems to work.

Sigh - I went back and searched again and found it right away: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues/4862
I was hoping to find some hint of how to avoid this issue (other than downgrading the FW). But none of the dev discussions are public I guess.
