Issue with hot end temperature - Idle at more than 100 degrees C but it is at room temperature

Hello all,

I have a weird issue, recently my hotend is at more than 100 degrees C after the booting.

I tried to play with the cable to see if there is any connection issues but the temperature did not changed. I tried to unplug / plug the temperature sensor connector but no success. I also rebooted and flashed an older firmware but the issue persist.

I measured the internal resistance of the sensor and it varies from 97k to 102k on idle. Which seems normal.

I am a bit lost ... is the loveboard or the xbuddy board dead ?

RE:

What is shown on the display when you disconnect the senzor?

How long did it work before the incident?

The temperature senzor is NTC type - higher temperature -> the lower resistance. 100k is at about 20-25°C.

It is connected to the xBuddy, the loveboard only consolidates all inputs into the main xBuddy- loveboard cable. 100°C points to the short circuit.

A shot could be to reload the FW, but I give it a low chance.

Try to change the hotend and heatsink thermistor plugs ( they are next to each other) and they have similar characteristics - to see what happens.
