First layer suddenly rough

I've been printing just fine for a while. But the last couple prints I attempted and aborted were rough.

I'm using PLA and the generic pla profile, which is what I've been using.

 

So my guess is a partial clog, but what other problems could it be?

Are you sure that's PLA? It looks like the mess you get from attempting to print PETG with a PLA profile.
