Extrusion width issues

Hello All, I'm hoping you can help me because I'm stumped as to where to look.

Our MK4 has recently been exhibiting a very strange behavior.  The picture is below.  This print is PETG 0.6mm Nozzle, 0.32 Structural layers with the Jessie PETG profile.  But we've been seeing this kind of issue on various materials and layer heights.  I even recall it with a 0.4mm nozzle, though I'm not 100% certain of that.

Its as if the nozzle is too high, or the lines are spaced too far apart.  To the point where in the picture below, you can see straight through 2 layers.  Note the green tape that's there for visual effect.

Any advice is welcomed.  This printer has been fantastic, and this is the first issue we've had that wasn't operator error.  But for the life of me, I can't seem to sort out where the problem lies.

RE: Extrusion width issues

I'd check the nozzle first, to make sure it's clean on the outside. I would check if the nozzle is properly secured in the hotend with the two screws. Then I would replace the load cell.

RE:

Sounds like you have a 0.6mm nozzle but may be using a 0.4mm configuration.  It is not enough just to select 0.6mm nozzle size in the printer profile.  You first have to use the configuration tool to enable a 0.6 nozzle configuration for your printer.  I hope this helps!

RE: Extrusion width issues

Thank you for the answers, I'm circling back around to this issue as it's causing problems now.  I installed a brand new 0.6mm nozzle in the printer and ran a print this morning, and the behavior is unchanged.  So I know it's not a nozzle issue, or cleanliness problem.

I have also gone into the settings on the printer and changed the nozzle size to a 0.6 as well.  So I don't think it's a setting issue there.

As a test this morning, I swapped in a 0.4 nozzle and ran a print to see if the issue persisted.  It printed perfectly, so the problem is purely in the 0.6mm nozzle settings somewhere.  Any thoughts on where to look?

For reference, I'm printing with Jessie Soul black glitter PETG for the testing.  So it's at least a quality filament.
