When does the Mk4s ship
Just purchased my first prusa machine for my birthday. I am very excited. When I click on the shipping information it takes me to a page with two tables showing ship date based on purchase date, but the tables are for the mini with enclosure and the XL. Anyway I can get an idea on when my Mk4s might be shipping?
I think they've caught up with orders now so within a couple of working days - how long it takes to arrive depends on where in the world you are and your country's customs clearance procedures.
Cheerio,
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
Unfortunately, it's always the same when something new comes from Prusa.
They are overrun with orders in the first few days.
Although they are constantly expanding their capacities and hiring new employees, there are considerable delays.
And that although I have to read under every video that has something to do with Prusa
"Prusa is dead" "Prusa is obsolete" "Prusa is way behind" etc.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
i talked yesterday with Prusa.
THe MK4S Kit is not available. the information ind the shop is wrong. also a lot of extras fir the enclosure are not available. the LED kit for enclosure is out of stock. the information in the shop is wrong too. the guy from the chat told me that the availability informations on theire webshop are not up to date. a lot of thinks are out of stock.
bad system the online shop.
my friend talked to the chat too. they told him that the order will not be shipped because the led is not available. its possible to cancel the led item, than the mk4s kit will be send to him. so he did this, and after 1 day my friend asked again when they will be shipped his kit, and than the guy from the chat told him "oh sorry, the mk4s kit is also not available" 😀 so the experience with prusa shop in combination with the mk4s is crazy 😀 will be better they would wrote 1-2 weeks and not 1-2 days!
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
That's too bad, I guess they sold out fast. I got mine in 3 days in CA and put it together last week. It prints beautifully and when it's on a concrete paver on top of foam, it's so quiet that I forget it's printing. The axis tests were really loud, though, and I had to adjust my z axis and grease the rods and screws. now silent
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
Maybe you are right and they realy sold out...but be faire and tranpsarent and write it in the "estiamted delivery plan". Dont write "available since 1-3 days"
doesnt matter, in that time i prionting forward with my XL 5TH
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
They hadn't sold out. The date listed as ship by, was incorrect. I contacted prusa directly to see what was up and they informed me of the incorrect date. And the reason it was incorrect was because I bought the Mk4s with mmu3 bundle. The Mk4s was in stock but the mmu3 wasn't ready yet. It actually shipped today, I just got the notice, so I'm pretty happy.
RE:
A friend ordered his kit at the 17.August. Still no delivery at this moment… and the homepage says 1-3 days for preparation. He is waiting now 10 days and nothing happens.
@prusa that’s a very bad politic to show the parts as available, but they are out of stock!!
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
I can't confirm this, I ordered my printer on 20.8. and received it on 22.8. Prusa has never been so fast, I'm impressed.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
If FedEx is to be believed, mine should arrive today. Super excited, I'm replacing an ender 6se. It was fine but this should be a substantial step up. I was looking at Bambu but I'm willing to pay a premium for better service and I love how they support their older products.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
If you ordered the MK4S, as I did, with a accelerometer set, there will be a delay. the accelerometer sets where not in stock anymore. Just got information the are in stock again.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
I’m in the USA and I’m hesitant to order the MK4S (or any products from Prusa) when no one can tell me what the final cost would be. Customs, taxes, etc. I’m told you find out after you order it. That’s kind of concerning. Has anyone placed an order for the MK4S KIT, and is shipping it to the USA? If so, can you tell me the cost to ship it to your state?
Thanks, Dan
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
Ordered a week ago (MK4s kit+MMU), should be shipped tomorrow. A bit longer than 1-3 day, but no biggie. On the other hand, they send me email titled "order was sent" (in Czech, ENG version might vary) and in the email itself two sentences later they say "It will be sent soon". C'mon, that is just stupid.
Either way, already printed self-rewinding spools and ordered shelves. Feeling like a kid day before Christmas.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
Placed an order for a MK4S and MMU3 exactly two weeks ago, but I have yet to receive any shipping confirmation. I would greatly appreciate more transparency in the future, especially regarding the estimated "preparation days." Many customers, including myself, sometimes rely on accurate timelines to meet deadlines and fulfill commitments. Additionally, displaying stock availability when items are not actually in stock is a practice that can lead to significant frustration 🙁
RE:
Hey Dan, I ordered a MK4S printer in kit form a couple of days ago. Order the printer on a single order to keep the price under $800 which is where duty charges come in. DHL freight to middle Tennessee was $62 and there no sales taxes.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
Ive been informed the kits are available and have started shipping already. Production has been ramped up!
Waiting for my unit, after which a whole new Video Build Guide will be produced 😉

The customs fee is nothing that Prusa has any control over. Here is a screen shot of my MK4 kit (plus enclosure bundle) invoice:
I had ordered on 2023-05-31 (one of the last days to get the full 1kg spool with the printer), and it was shipped on 2023-09-05. (It's been a year already? Oh, my, time's fun when you are having flies.)
A week or two after receiving the printer, I got an invoice from FedEx for the customs charge. I forget how much it was, but I seem to recall it being $30-$50USD. FWIW, this was shipped to Wilmington, DE.

Links didn't work in last post.

My fee was $42.99 but I ordered more than an Mk4. Total order was about $1150 in goods.
RE: When does the Mk4s ship
I was totally taken off guard by the import customs fees, which took the form of an unexpected letter from Fedex asking for $154 some weeks after I ordered and received a SL1S SPEED 3D Printer + CW1S BUNDLE for delivery to the US..
After looking a LOT more closely at the fine print, well, my bad for not reading the fine print, I guess.
Prusa - you could do a better job of "priming" US customers for this sort of thing, I think.. Totally took me by surprise..
