What does the y belt tensioner and y belt hold in the MK4>MK4S get me?
I've made a bunch of changes to my MK3 over the winter. Added an Original enclosure, lighting, filtration, up graded to MK4. Added a MMU3. Then I bought the MK4S upgrade kit. So far I've only used the wifi adapter as it has an external socket for the accelerometer.
What does the Y belt items do for me? Is it worth putting them in?
Thanks,
Szumi

The original parts (I think printed in PETG) were prone to softening over time from the heat of the heatbed, especially if you print PC or other higher-temp filaments. The replacements are PC-CF I believe. Worth doing in my opinion - might be time to lube the bearings and tighten all the bolts anyway!

Thanks for that. I do plan to try my hand with some PC in the future. I also have to figure out which nextruder parts to use from the kit as the MMU3 had me replacing a few parts in it.

The MMU3 extruder modifications are the correct ones - just skip those steps in the MK4S upgrade. And hey you have spare extruder parts now! 🙂 I did exactly the same thing as you...
