Prusa Original Mark 4S kit lead time 5 wks, assembled 4S in stock?
I ordered my first 3D Printer last week, the Prusa Original Mark4S kit. I have been wanting a printer for a while now and have following Prusa’s development. I had considered a Bambu Lab solution but decided ultimately to stick with Prusa due to reputation and reports of excellent customer support. As I wait, I have now started reading posts in the forum and wanted to ask, is it normal for Prusa to have assembled printers in stock but kits with long lead times? Is this because their current manufacturing is back logged due to the release of the new Core printer? Thanks in advance for your comments.

They probably put together the kits and assembled versions in batches. You're probably right, they batched a bunch of assembled versions because production is going to focus on the Core in the upcoming weeks.

Black Friday sales deplete the in stock inventory every year. While Prusa does their best to plan and have appropriate inventory each year, the final product sales mix is never exactly to estimates.
