Print head strangely shifted right

While printing this known duck, the head started printing as it should, then it shifted right ~30mm, continue as if normal.

I just switched to P

rusa slicer 2.9.3

I just switched to Prusa slicer 2.9.3

What could cause this?

previous print (smaller version of this duck) went well.

The steep overhang at the front is likely to warp upwards, combine that with the probable poor adhesion to the dirty print-sheet and the chance of a head crash is high.

I get these shifts ALL the time on my Mk4S machines (4 had since launch 4 were upgrades ) and I have 8 of them . I stopped trying to contact support because there’s never a solid answer . It’s everything from belt tension, infill settings , filament type , calibration etc… nothing has ever resolved it . It’s same as you show here an awkward shift to the right .

It is the 2nd time for me, so I paid attention. I think it is a bug in the MK4 firmware because the gcode is correct and printing well mostly. Something makes the head shift at a  certain moment, and remains shifted until the end. Luckily (for me) it doesn't occur much. I hope Prusa will pay attention to this.

I don't think so. the base of the print is exactly where it should be, while the remaining (higher layers) shifted to the right, and kept being shifted.

The base stays where it is — the overhang warps upwards and perhaps partially detaches — the print head crashes into the top of the warp and fails to complete its move — the print head continues as if it had completed the previous move but now it's out of position.
