You bring up very good points. Yes, I think that might have been a good way to handle it. But honestly, given the cost of these printers, I think they should have offered the upgrade kit to everyone who purchased within the last three months and just charged a shipping charge. It would have been a win - win for everyone. Or, they could have offered it at 50% cost to recent buyers. This would have been at least a small gesture of goodwill. Their adamant stance to offer NOTHING is what put me off, because I knew that when I purchased my printer, they knew very well the MK4S was about to be released. At that point, they could have accepted that some people would choose to wait for the new model. They would have sold the same number of printers in the long run, but everyone would have been happy. Instead, they tricked thousands of people. I'm not okay with that.
