New print Fan and Shroud - slight mod needed, and obstructed view
Completing the kit, I found I had to very lightly file a bit off the forward end of the shroud (either side of what looks like 'pincers') to avoid it scraping during printing. The tolerances are very tight, and I think for me it was a combination of doing that and loosening the screws on the mount attached to the fan to get a bit more angle upward and away from the plate.
By the way, I think I'm going to end up renaming this "failure shield" because I am certain that if I have a failed print that sticks to the nozzle, I will not know for quite some time with the fan and shroud in the way. I think anyone doing this upgrade may want to reconsider where they are pointing their cameras to try to get some earlier warning.
