MK4S MMU3 finish print with another filament?
Is there a way to finish a print with another loaded filament? Say I was using filament 4, it ran out and I want to finish with filament 2, is there a way I can easily accomplish that? Easier than just loading another roll of filament that is.
RE: MK4S MMU3 finish print with another filament?
The feature you describe is known as SpoolJoin. You would set the printer to use 4 with 2 joined on, when 4 runs out it automatically switches to 2. Instructions are here: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mmu3-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/spooljoin-for-mk4/?language=fr
It sounds more complicated than it is

Oh ok, I have been using Prusa Link and that's probably why I haven't seen that option. It would be cool to be able to define that in the settings before its been sliced.
RE: MK4S MMU3 finish print with another filament?
I think the problem is most single color prints don't need it so you would be complicating the UI for an edge case.
But you could add it as a feature request in github: https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer I don't think it would get traction but what do I know?
RE: MK4S MMU3 finish print with another filament?
For those of us with the MMU3 I believe it would be used often if it was known about and easy to use. It would also become a selling point for the MMU3. I would be able to finish off a bunch of mostly used spools in one print.

I don't necessarily agree however I do think SpoolJoin needs to be far better publicised even in it's current state, as evidenced by your question and many others similar.
But as I said, put in a feature request on github, you never know, it might get taken up
