You have chosen organic supports, unless there are complex shapes at the top of this build it is a poor choice and could be allowing too much movement thereby risking head crashes which can cause layer shifts.
Ordinarily organic supports are best for complex curves - usually figurines and miniatures, snug supports for practical parts and grid supports for tall ones.
Your print is one for which I would usually consider grid support to be appropriate although if I expected to print several I might choose to design my own custom supports in the CAD to reduce filament waste.
This has nothing to do with your USB drive but a second one makes sense allowing you to prepare prints on one while printing from the other.
