layer shift

I woke up this morning expecting to see a finished print job; however, I was not expecting this.

It appears roughly half-way through the print the layer shifted 9mm in the X axis:

Can you check if the top cover of the Loveboard is attached correctly? If it sits behind the backplate, it can interfere with the frame in case there is a crash detection and the printer does a re-home of the x-axis. The top cover part must sit between the backplate and the Loveboard to have enough clearance.

RE: layer shift

Maybe this ?

Enable "Steeper ramp before obstacles" (printer/extruder configuration) by default - when disabled unpredictable crashes/layer shifts occures #13235

It's only happened this once-- so must have had something out of the ordinary happen.

RE: layer shift

I've had some random layer shifts occasionally as well and haven't been able to pinpoint the problem. No obstructions and belts are properly tensioned. I actually was upgrading my MK4 to a MK4S and found one of the parts that Prusa provided in PCCF had a layer shift problem. So apparently this even happens to them at times.
