Z-Axis failing calibration

What causes the failure? I have re-centered the vertical rods three times. I have re-seated the hot end three times. I cannot get past the z-axis calibration.

Every time the z-axis fails, it is after it goes down to touch the bed. Moves slightly up, then down. Then moves to the top position to say it has failed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The z-axis test fails. The nozzle hits the table hard. I can't solve the problem.

RE: Z-Axis failing calibration

I just posted what worked for me today.  I moved my z axis to zero position (where nozzle was not touching the bed), shut off power, and manually moved Z so nozzle touched the bed, then powered up, and re-ran z axis test - success.

I''m also having this problem, among other things. I can't get the mmu3 to load filaments. Its stuck on filament 2 and I want to print on filament 1. I also can't find the chat window to get some advise.

I also am having a problem with the MMu3. It is stuck saying that it is detecting a filament too soon, yet there is no filament being loaded.
