Prusa MK4S "There was an error connecting to the Wi-Fi."
- Firmware: 6.2.4+8909 (current)
- Wifi SSID: bothervehicle
- wifi password: flower123
- Wifi network frequency: 2.4GHz
- Able to connect over ethernet: yes
- Other devices connect to wifi
I recently got a second hand MK4S. Everything is working well except the wifi refuses to connect. I have been able to connect it to ethernet but wifi just gives the same generic error. The next screen takes me to "how to connect your printer". I have tried manual connection, connection by config file and connection by NFC. The time on the printer is correct (synchronised by the ethernet connection). The wifi network and password are very simple and easy to type, with no special characters.
Can anyone guide me about what might be going wrong here, or how to get additional debugging information?

Just to add that I've tried this with a router literally sat on the printer, so I don't think it's a signal issue.

- separating 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks under different names
- Having a separate 2.4GHz network with no encryption/security/password

The last couple of days the connect.prusa3d site isn't working well for me. Sometimes being "slow", but today it wouldn't work at all. I had to take out the thumb drive and write to it directly.

the connect site is down at the moment so yeah that wont work
look under the tab recent posts and the discussion will come up
but the printer should be able to connect to wifi regardless

Yes, I don't have any problem related to prusa connect. This is an issue where the printer cannot connect to the wifi network.

In the end, I reinstalled the same version (6.2.4) of the firmware from USB stick and wiped to factory settings at the same time. After this I was able to connect to the wifi immediately.
