New upgrade - Y-Axis fails when bed comes forward to stop
Just completed the upgrade. Y-Axis consistently failing at point where bed moves forward to the limit. Tension on the belt seems a little looser than the X-axis, but not terribly so. New tensioners are in place.
I can keep tightening the belt, but at some point I'm going to hit the limit. I had to skip some teeth on the belt to make the tensioner aligned with the screw. Anyone seen this?
Thanks.
RE: New upgrade - Y-Axis fails when bed comes forward to stop
Looks like putting a piece of wire wrapped around the left Y-axis rod allowed it to pass. Now printing these spacers pink_clown created.

If your X or Y calibration fails is mostly related to the belt tension, too tight or too loose. Make sure is not obstructed in any way hope that helps.!!!

do you instaled bed mounts correct? if so, check belt tension. If tension is ok, check the movement of table it should be smooth. if all fail look here:

Can you share the link to "these spacers pink_clown created"? I could not find them. Just upgraded my MK4 to MK4S and I am having the same issue. Tried different belt tensions but that changed nothing. Even used the frequency measurement using my phones mic. Bed travels smoothly, nothing is blocking the path. As soon as the bed hits the front Y position, the test stops as 'failed'.

I had the same problem.
Just assembeld my MK4S, but Y calibration failed.
I tied a cable strip round the left rod at the display side and it passed.
Not a real solution but I hope it will print and hope Prusa targets this issue and solves it by software
RE:
Same happened after my MK4 -> MK4S upgrade. Putted a cable strip on the left rod, but on the behind side and the Y axis calibration succeded.
Maybe any prusa official should read the forum, just for solving bugs in the firmware. As I have seen in different posts this behavior is nothing new. It existed since the MK4 came out! 🤬
RE:
Why the are you all wrapping some zip ties or wires around the left rod, printing all sorts of spacer rings, when all you have to do is loosen the mounting bolts on the left front bearing on the Y-carriage and move the bearing forward a bit?
RE: New upgrade - Y-Axis fails when bed comes forward to stop
For me I did try what you suggested but it did not help. And I pushed it forward quite bit.
RE: New upgrade - Y-Axis fails when bed comes forward to stop
In this case, you need to find what limits the movement of the Y-axis backwards and possibly play with the position of the rear bearing. I have the impression that the movement of the table towards the rear is limited by the belt hinge, which hits the motor holder. It is necessary to physically measure the table lift in the Y direction from stop to stop with a scale. I think it should be 215 mm. (211mm stroke + 4 mm reserve towards the rear) And within these numbers move and adjust the machine. It can even happen that you have an assembly error and then it's no wonder that it can't be adjusted

Ok, thanks I will try
