MK4S upgrade - print quality poor / warping - Need help on settings for a smooth top layer with consistent color.

Hello all - I have used an MK4 to print several models to perfection!   Upon upgrading to the MK4S (using the kit and new HF nozzle), I have had to "reslice" the models. But, no matter what I do, I cannot get the same output.  The surface of the print is supposed to be smooth.  As you can see from the photo, this has warping, discoloration, and weird roughness.  This is PLA printed at the normal temps.

I'm thinking it may have to do with the new fan system/cooling?  Any suggestions on what caused this, and any changes to settings so that this will print smoothly and with a (near) perfect top layer?

Thank you!

RE:

Try raising the nozzle temperature 10 degrees.

Also is this the speed or structural setting?

Many reports of this here and on GitHub. One suggestion on GitHub that works well for me is to manually adjust live a when the print starts (by long pushing the dial) by +0.04.

I see this pillowing with Hf and Obxidian on all my Mk4S's. Weirdly, my XL is fine, and it's running brass nozzles. Haven't tried brass on the Mk4s but someone on GitHub said it makes no difference.

Hello and thank you for the response.  This was in Structural (not speed). I did try to increase the temp by 10 degrees as suggested. It actually seemed to help the first layer, but oddly now the top layer is even worse than before.    Also, the key issue is that this is MATTE PLA - so it should not be shiny at all.  My original MK4 prints were matte and smooth.  Now, with MK4S, they are shiny, rough, and not smooth at all.  I am stumped.    Thank you again for any tips or suggestions team!

Thank you!  See below for results.  I tried increased temps but no luck.  This is Matte PLA but comes out shiny and uneven/rough even at higher temp.  It is structural setting, not speed.

Hmm, odd.  I've been printing PLA without issue, however it's not matte

Are you using an old filament profile or have you selected a new filament profile after the upgrade?

Same filament profile.   I have decided to "reboot" and basically add a new printer, new profiles, and restart everything on this print.  Will tweak some settings.  It is frustrating it has to be this way.   The main problem is not remember what the settings were originally to get my prints perfectly smooth on top layer.
