MK4s upgrade - noise on Y axis
Hello everyone,
I have an MK4 which I've just upgraded to an MK4S.
In this video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0UqvXs30o9Q you can hear that when the printbed moves to the limit of the y axis (as the bed moves fully back) there is a vibration/noise coming from the printer. It only happens at the extreme when the printer is printing on the lower edge of the print sheet. I've not had this problem before the mk4s upgrade. Actually I don't really print anything on that area so it's not really a problem now, I just noticed it when doing a first layer test (printing one layer on the full bed).
Does anyone maybe know what it can be from? When I upgraded to mk4s I of course needed to re-tune my belt tensions on the x and y axis (of course on the Y axis because I changed to the upgraded y axis parts) ; the x axis I guess had become loose over time.
Thank you very much

I can hear a vibration or noise coming from the printer in this video when the printbed reaches the end of the y axis (when the bed fully retracts).

RE: MK4s upgrade - noise on Y axis
I am necroing my own thread just in case anybody has this similar problem in the future.
I was busy with other life things and finally yesterday I wanted to fix this issue, so I took the printer out of the enclosure and tried to reproduce the problem, it was not happening anymore.
I put the printer back in the enclosure, the problem re-appeared.
This says to me that there's some vibration/resonance inside the enclosure ; so nothing "wrong" with the printer. For me it's unimportant enough that I will not pursue it further, not for now anyway.
