MK4S kit - Accidentally confused m3n nuts with m3nN nuts

Like the title. During assembly at one point I got pretty tired and confused the m3n nuts with each other. I used the nN nuts on the X axis assembly of the orange parts that go onto the y axis rails instead of the single n m3n nuts. I noticed this when I ran short on nN for the bed heater assembly but had more m3nN at home to make up for it, I was thinking the kit somehow came short a few nuts lol. Does this matter at all? They don’t stick out or get in the way or anything and it’s a bit late to go back and easily disassemble the part as I’m practically done with the kit assembly and the wired nextruder won’t allow me to remove the x axis. Does this introduce any structural change? Or doesn’t matter at all?

So you used the hex nuts instead of the square nuts?

It shouldn't cause any issues as long as they are not sticking out and you can get screws into them and tighten down successfully. You have to be careful the nuts do not turn freely in their groove when you insert the screws though.

It's a tough one as trying to remove the nuts from slots will prove difficult. Personally if it were me my OCD would take over and I would end up either trying to remove or re-printing the parts.......lol

They are both hex shaped nuts (one is just thicker) and I have the same problem. My question is: why have 2 nuts with such similar names? 3nN and 3n. Why not call one of them 3L or 3K or something? It seems to be a mistake done by others and I won't be the last.

Anyway I can't get the nN ones out now so I have to cross my fingers and hope it works out with the wrong ones going forward. Yey, rejoicing... "re-printing" the parts and starting over isn't really an option without a working printer.

It seems M3nN will fit nicely where M3n are suppose to be used but not vice versa. Which means I need new M3nN nuts to finish the printer (unless you say it will fail with the wrong nuts in the assembly of the orange x end motor and idler?

M3nN are nylock nuts. They have a nylon locking ring to prevent the screw from backing out. Since they're not in the way, and since you used nylock nuts in all places that called for it, it'll be completely fine.
