Loud noise and strong vibration when moving along Z-axis

Finished building my mk4s kit. I’ve paid careful attention during Z-axis assembly and aligned rods almost perfectly.

Calibration went fine (all green), and first prints are looking good.

Yet still, when print head is moving quickly along the Z-axis it makes loud noise and the whole table vibrates significantly. Not during normal printing but when it decides to go all the way up, or all the way down to home position.

The vibration and noise seem stronger at the bottom.

How should I fix it? My current thoughts are loosening bolts holding the Z-motors, and/or loosening bolts holding Z-bearings.

RE: Loud noise and strong vibration when moving along Z-axis

Remove the top brackets of each Z axis (where it attached to the frame at the very top). Then remove the trapezoidal nuts.

Check to ensure your Z motor rods are in the center of the plastic printed parts - they must not touch the plastic parts at all, but the more centered the better. Tighten or loosen the bolts on the Z axis motors to ensure the rods line up well. Then reattach the trapezoidal nuts and top brackets.

Finally recalibrate Z axis.
