Just finished upgrading MK4 to MK4S
So I just finished installing my MK4S upgrade. Whole process was pretty easy and took me about 3h.
While upgrading the extruder, when you have to remove the gearbox cover, the manual actually says to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL while removing the cover (reason isnt stated). So I indeed was very careful while removing it, only for a few minutes later kock the whole now-open gearbox assembly off the table and onto the ground. (I'm a clumsy dumbass!) My heart almost stopped but fortunately there doesnt seem to have been any damage.
MAN is that new fan HUGE 🤣
On a side note, I just re-sliced something I recently printed, in order to print it on the MK4S with the new HF nozzle, with the same print settings. Print time on the old file (MK4/input shaper) was 1h33. New print time on the MK4S HF is 1h15. (Both at 0.15mm layers). Not bad, but I was expecting a bit more on that front. (just for reference, that same print was 2h13 on my MK3S+).
