Will lowering print speed recover failing organic supports?
Hi,
I’m currently printing a 45 hour print and my organic supports have detached from the print bed. These supports are supporting 60-ish degree overhangs. Would lowering the print speed by 50% help with recovering these features?
That's getting rather tall for Organic supports without intermediary anchor points. You may do better with Snug supports, or if they need to be really tall fall back to the old Grid supports.

I admit, it was getting high but I assumed PrusaSlicer would know that and generated them to be successful. I went for organic support because I didn’t want to have any marks on the bust.
I’ve brought the print speed all the way down to 50% and planted a fan in front of the enclosure. My thinking was that if I could cool the extrusions fast enough, the material that would have been laid down on the now-fallen supports would eventually bridge to the original locations, forming a branch from the support proceeding the fallen ones.
I’m away from my printer right now, my wife took a picture for me. Aaandd… it looks to have somewhat rebuilt the branches from the ones left standing! I might be too optimistic at this point, I’ll update when the print’s finished in 24 hours!
