Replace Solid Infill with top layer in Prusaslicer
I would like to finish printing the entire main top layer of an object before printing the text. The main object is 8mm tall and I have the text, which is 1 mm tall, start at a height of 8mm. As you can see in the picture prusaslicer is adding some infill just below the text, which is causing the nozzle to travel around the text when doing the top layer and causing some bad results.

Hi Liam
You have a couple of issues...
Have a look at the attached .3mf file
Liam
To get the top layer of the main body, smooth, I added a height range modifier, to increase the number of top layers so that there was no infill below the text.
Also the text appears to be Times Roman, this is not a good font for the 3D printer, because the thin sections of the text do not print properly
I have used the 'XY Size Compensation' option to make the strokes on the letters thicker... this fills il the bits of the letters which would be missing, normally, without having to change font, or re edit the model
and I have changed the top layers to have only one perimeter, so that the letters look nicer...
Sorry this print is a bit Messy I printed PLA, at PETG Temperatures... Coz I was in a rush! 🙁

What are the ranges for your height range modifier?

the details should be in the .3mf file.
