Printing model train Euro pallet 1:220

Hi all

I'm trying to help a friend by printing a 1:220 scale Euro pallet.

I've tried downscaling a model in Prusa Slicer, that I found on onshape. That did not work, so I designed my own 1:200 scale in onshape, that also does not work.

I attached some pictures of the setup and results, please aks for additional info 🙂

My simple model can be found here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/62a798bc33fbfa4e04282fdf/w/a6a40fee4defbacfb75fd6b9/e/d5ab87526afc585f8500362a

Thanks in advance 🙂

Thanks in advance

Your link goes to a log-in wall so it's not much help.

Assuming the 1000 x 1200mm sized pallet (there are a range of Europallet specifications) it scales to 4.5 x 5.5mm at 1:220.  You have chosen to put 5 deck planks across the narrower width; allowing a 1/3 spacing each plank will be 0.7mm wide.

The default extrusion width with a 0.4mm nozzle is 0.45mm so your planks must be 1.5 extrusions wide - that's never going to work.

If you rotate the deck 90° and put 5 planks across then the width can be 0.86mm - close to two extrusions, this has a much better chance.

The skids can stay in place but again it will pay to widen them so that two extrusions will fit.

Cheerio,

Thank you so much Diem.
sorry about the blocked link.
It’s actually worse yet as it’s only 800mm wide resulting in 3,6mm, but I’ll reduce the number of planks and play around with print-alignment.

Maybe a smaller nozzle would do some magic as well.

Thanks again for your assistance 🙂
