Loading TPU

I have had no problems with PETG or PLA, but I can't seem to get soft TPU to load. It won't get past the filament out sensor, and when I release the idler door and force the filament in, it never reaches the nozzle. It is Matterhackers TPU. Does anyone know thow to load this stuff? I have printed this filament sucessfully on my MK/3S.

RE: Loading TPU

I just posted my TPU setting to this category. I loosened both of my idler screws 1.5 complete turns (540 degrees) and that was enough for the TPU to pass through and print perfectly. See here for the rest of my settings:

RE: Loading TPU

Thank you, I'll try that method today. Any suggestions for the Xl as well?

The XL prints TPU just fine with the default settings - but it must be dry, very dry.

RE: Loading TPU

I can try the tpu filament in my drybox for a couple of days, but last time I tried it, I couldn't even get the filament to the extruder through the tubes etc.

It worth fitting wider tubes to the drybox for TPU - it tends to grip more than other filaments.

RE: Loading TPU

Thanks Diem,

Is there a recommended tube size that you have in mind?

Most dryboxes and similar tubes are about 3mm ID - anything bigger will grip less.

RE: Loading TPU

Thanks Diem, I'll measure mine and see if they are smaller or not.
