Inlay text good but could be better
I've just finished the build of my MK4 and have successfully completed some test print so thought I'd try something a little more challenging.
I'd like to print inlayed text in a different colour. After a little trial an error the results are acceptable but I'd like to improve the quality if possible. The main issue is the infill on the text which has some gaps, see image. FYI the non-capitalised text size is 8mm high.
I'm using Prusament PLA with the default settings on the textured bed. The smooth bed may give slightly better results in terms of these gaps but I had other issues and prefer the textured surface.
RE: Inlay text good but could be better
Try reducing the width of the filament extrusion (traces). Print Settings -> Advanced -> Extrusion Width -> Default Extrusion Width and other options in this section.

Thanks that was something I was thinking of trying. I'll see how it turns out.

Hi Miroslav,
another thing you can try for larger letters, is reducing the perimeters to ONE perimeter using Height range modifiers...
this leaves more room for infill and in my opinion, gives a better result
it's not brilliant for small text.
I tend to use BOLD text to make space for infill...
