How do I improve this print?
I printed this recently with PETG. What settings would I use to reduce/eliminate the stringing? I'm currently using the default PETG settings for 'Generic PETG' and printing using this filament I bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PQS4LW7 from Ataraxia... I bought it because I like the color, and no other reason.
I'm kind of new at this, so it would help me a lot if someone could point out the issues and reasons that they see in the pictures. Why does the left side look clean but the right side look worse?
Dry the filament.
Cheerio,

This was brand new filament, just unsealed from the bag. You think the moisture is still an issue coming from the manufacturer?

We should start a global counter on the forum for the statement "it was brand new filament"! 🙂
Yes, fresh filament out of the sealed bag can contain too much moisture for good printing results. This is especially valid for PETG!
Dry your filament, print the part again and you will see the difference.
New filament was packed dry - but you have no idea for how long it sat on a wholesaler's shelf or how it was treated in transit.

Bought a filament dryer... ran it for an hour and reprinted with the same filament. Came out perfect!
