Half dead heat bed on prints
  1. Please, I could use some help. I'm at a loss. My heat bed is half dead while printing. I think it has been a long standing issue that has gotten worse. The right side while printing is almost cool to the touch. The left comes right up to bed temp. I'm using the latest firmware and prusa slicer. Weird thing is bed comes to temp when pre heating but the bed has the problem while printing. Thanks for anything I don't know where to start.Cool left

Not sure but make sure both your heat bed and build sheet are both clean and smooth. Your 44c measurements are close to the area were the nozzle gets cleaned (if the sheet were flipped over) and this often leaves little tits of material.

The heat bed on the MK4 has a single area that's meant to heat and that is monitored by a single thermistor, so it sounds like you've got a faulty heat bed, that is if there are no environmental causes.

Try to measure the pad in the same way without the printing plate. It would be best to measure with a thermal camera. If this corner is cooler even in this case, I recommend contacting Prusa support.
