Crack in model after slicing

I am trying to print a model I found on printables and noticed there is a large crack down the side of the piece after printing. I tried reprinting the object thinking the crack was caused by some sort of misalignment, but when the second one was completed it had the exact same crack. Upon further inspection I noticed that the crack only appeared after slicing the model in PRUSA slicer… is there a way to fix the model so it is seamless and connected throughout?

This is the seam where the printer starts and ends the layer. There is nothing to do with it yet, maybe try the seam position in the slicer print settings either as random and then carefully sand the model or another setting. For square models, the slicer hides the seam somewhere in the corner, but unfortunately there is nowhere for round models.

i think it might appear less like a crack and more like a bump / ridge if you print slower.

maybe.
