Z-offset required on my Mk4

I assembled a Mk4 from kit last week, and in general the experience has been very pleasant, but I'm having first layer issues. Without calibration, my prints after the bed is probed end up having too much squish and get ridges (see attached image). I went through the z-offset calibration on ellis3dp.com and came up with a value of 0.075 for the Z-offset in Prusa Slicer. With these settings my first layers are pretty good.

Is something wrong with my setup? I thought the loadcell based probe was supposed to make z-offset calibration unnecessary? Is everyone else having to calibrate their z-offset similarly with the mk4?

I managed to fix this issue by re-seating the heater block & nozzle and tightening down the thumbscrews a lot more than I thought was necessary. I can now print with a 0 z-offset.

RE: Z-offset required on my Mk4

I have this same issue, but it isn't a sever as it appears in your pictures.

If I add .035 Z to the prints before it gets past the outlines it runs very smoothly, but if I don't add it I get that spitting dot-dot-dot effect that if left turns into those waves.

I was also wondering if there is someplace to add that default value to the Z probing so I don't have to manually do it every print.

If you look in the advanced printer settings you should see an option for z offset that you can set and save:
