You should be able to power an Arduino from the Power Supply, you'd need a buck converter to get the 24v down to something acceptable for the Arduino. I noted several 24V to 5V converters on Amazon.

I got it powered via a normal phone charger with micro usb right now. But it would be neat to have the camera power on and off together with the printer And if i could get away without a buck converter 🙂

( i try the USB c port tonight.)

BTW. Other solution would be to power printer and camera off simultaneously using a switchable powerstrip. But i don't if that's ok on the long run ?

I have been using WiFi plugs with Tasmota that have a powerstrip connected to them for years for my printers. Each powerstrip powers the printer, a Raspi and a phone charger for the LED lighting for the printer. No problems so far. OctoPrint controls the LEDs and switches everything off if the printer has been idle for a certain time.

is the USB-C turned off in the firmware or something that Prusa did in the hardware. USB-C are meant to give power and allow daisy chaining so not having power makes no sense to me?

In the hardware when conecting to prontoface octoprint etc it csrnt be giving out power as that can mess communication up
