Trouble with manual color changes and wipe tower
PrusaSlicer 2.7.2 and FW 5.1.2
After a color change on a print, the extruder goes to the wipe tower location to clean itself off, but does it 2" above the bed. I have to grab the filament as it's wiping to keep it from getting transferred to the print. After wiping, it Z's down to the bed and continues printing.
This is new. I have printed this file multiple times in the past.
Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks
A wipe tower is rarely much use with manual colour changes, I usually disable it. When the filament purges do not remove it, instead hold it and confirm the colour then allow the printer to pull the nozzle away from the filament as it returns to the print.
Cheerio,
RE: Trouble with manual color changes and wipe tower
Yeah I've got that down, but it still bleeds out a little blob on the print before it starts back up- Or, it doesn't pressurize enough and misses a bit of the starting line before it starts printing. The wipe tower solved all that for me, and now it appears to be broken. So your answer doesn't really answer my question.
