Significant filament ooze loss during print pause
I'm running a job that requires a pause at a certain layer so I can insert magnets.
When the printer is paused, a significant amount of filament (4-5cm) oozes out of the extruder. When the job resumes, this tail is wasted and causes a gap to appear in the first part of the print after the resume. This gap is always on the outside of the part I'm making and is consistent on every run of the job.
Is this normal and expected? Is it something that can be fixed with a setting change? Or does this require an internal fix to the slicer?
Thanks
- Mk4 kit
- Firmware 5.0.0
- Slicer 2.6.1
- nozzle: 0.4
- filament: Prusament Galaxy Black PLA (pack-in spool)

I have the exact same problem. Have you found any solutions?
