Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
I switch nozzles frequently and I am careful to slice for the correct nozzle diameter. I am not so careful about changing the nozzle diameter in the printer hardware settings.
I haven't seen any issues with a mismatch between the slicer setting and the hardware setting. Does the hardware setting do anything?
RE: Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
If the slicer setting does not match the hardware it complains in a similar way to if the filament type does not match
RE: Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
@jp-guitars, My MK4 doesn't complain. I have the printer hardware setup for G-code checks / Nozzle Diameter: Strict. I wonder if "Strict" means that it just uses what is in the g-code?
On another note. I looked at one of my g-code files and there is no mention of the material type, so it makes sense that the printer doesn't complain when I slice for one material and load another material.
RE: Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
Mine complains about worth mismatches
RE: Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
Is your setting set to "Alert"?
RE: Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
Cannot check at the moment as it is printing
RE: Settings / Hardware / Nozzle Diameter
I use OctoPrint. I wonder if that has something to do with this?
I might do a test and set the printer nozzle diameter to 0.8 but use a 0.4 nozzle and slice for 0.4.
