Selftest X-axis failure #13304
Hi Prusa-Community,
I am a quite new member here and need your help with my Prusa MK4. I assembled the Kit and did the first selftest. Unfortunately the X-axis calibration is not working and I get the failure code #13304. After this I checked everything recomended (belt-tension, electric-connections and so on) but nothing worked. I also checked some videos, regarding the movement of the x-axis during the selftest and mine looks much more different than others.
See the video here: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Au2wZHqF1umMgmyYAodFlm3ETppz?e=8ToLqJ
Maybe anybody of you had the same issues and got a solution for this.
Thank you, and best regards
André

Hi all, thanks for your help! After trying all adjustments and different belt tensions, the movment was still the same like in the video. The Prusa-LiveChat Support send me the current beta firmware (link below) and... IT WORKED

For build and comissioning problems it is always best to go straight to Prusa Support via the chat option at the bottom of the on-line manual page.
Cheerio,

Are your x bearings placed into their respective recesses correctly??
Also ensure the plates holding the bearings in place are not overtightened.
Almost seems as though the carriage is sticking and hence cant move smoothly. Failing the above you may need to contact Prusa support via chat, as advised above.....
Remember to report back with the solution!

I have this too. Well I did I took the balcony plate of the carriage off and played with the belt tension. Passed the self test BUT I manually have to slide the extruder over to the left before every print. If I don't the carriage will just keep slamming into the right side of the printer. This is my first prusa but I'm pretty sure I should have to move the extruder to position before prints. I also have prints (same g code) print on different areas of the bed. That's weird to me.
