Repeated jams

I've had a number of filament jams between the planetary gear and the tube at the top of the nextruder nozzle. Filament is Prusament PETG which was opened yesterday, no tangles on the reel. Filament is fed from the reel through a PTFE tube as the printer is in a Prusa enclosure, it seems to move through easily enough. Most prints are fine just with this annoying problem now and again.

Anyone got any ideas what I should be looking at to fix this? I'm new to 3D printing so have no clue where to start.

PTFE tubes sometimes collect dust which drags on the filament.  Blow through occasionally to clear them.

Is this prebuilt or a kit build?

Is this a new problem or has it been present from the start?

Cheerio,

RE: Repeated jams

I've checked the PTFE tube and no dust or other blockage, but it is only a week old.

It is a kit build, it had been running for three days, approx 18 hours before the first jam. It then ran fine for another couple of days before the latest spate of problems during that time I printed a 7 hour job on a different reel of PETG and a 6 hour job on this reel both with no problems.

When it jams it breaks the filament about 1mm above the top of the nextruder tube
