PrusaLink: Won't accept credentials

I'm trying to set up PrusaLink on my new MK4.

I have connected with an Ethernet cable.

I can get to the PrusaLink web page on the printer.

But, I can't log in. When I type in the username and password, the dialog box just comes back for me to log in again.

I WebChatted with Prusa support, who suggested the following ideas, none of which worked:

I've tried regenerating passwords.
I'm copy/pasting them from a text window, so I know I haven't mis-typed them.
I've factory reset the printer.

Anybody have any other ideas? I'm seeing the webpage, so I know most of the potential networking problems aren't an issue.

Are you by any chance using Safari as you Browser?
I am facing exactly the same issue in Safari, but when I switch to Chrome everything works as expected. So I am just using Chrome as a Workaround for now, but hope this issue can be fixed in future.

Are you by any chance using Safari as you Browser?
I am facing exactly the same issue in Safari, but when I switch to Chrome everything works as expected. So I am just using Chrome as a Workaround for now, but hope this issue can be fixed in future.

Thanks so much, Koegmaster. Chrome is working. Safari is not. Good thing I didn't have to fire up Internet Explorer....

Does this also affect Safari on iPhones and iPads as well as on a Mac?

I see the same with a Prusa XL. Chromes works fine, Safari doesn't.

I immediately assumed this might be a 'Safari as a second class citizen' issue and tried Chrome. But Chrome doesn't work for me either. Anyone else?

It was my error with Chrome. Also, the issue is an open issue on GitHub and the issue poster noted it eventually works, which I can confirm.

I use Vivaldi (which is based on Chrome) and it doesn't work for me either

Does not work with Chrome or Safari..

Tried generating credentials again.. Same issue.

Bumping this topic since 5.1.0 still has the same problem.

This should be a simple fix... since, you know, about 99.9999% of the internet gets it right. 🤣
