Nozzle Scratching Infill on larger Prints
Hello, I received my MK4 kit about 4 weeks ago and successfully assembled it. Everything worked right away. The first prints looked fantastic. Now I ventured into larger prints and discovered the following. With larger infill areas, I notice that the nozzle scratches the infill. This probably wasn't noticed before with smaller prints.
I had already tried different FW and slicer stands.
I currently have FW version 5.0 and PrusaSliver version 2.6.1.
I had already researched and came across that I should adjust the extrusion multiplier. Default is 1. Tested with 0.9.
There was an improvement, maybe I'm just imagining it. But the layers looked horrible with this setting. At the moment I'm doing tests with different infills, but that doesn't bring any improvement.
Do you have any ideas about what I could check next?

Most of the infill patterns 'cross over' themselves on the same layer. This is quite normal.

Try something like gyroid, which doesn't cross over itself. With infill patterns such as grid, even small over extrusion may lead to accumulations at the intersections, which can cause the kind of scratching you're seeing, or worst case layer shifts.

I know this post is old, but thanks for the info. I was pretty concerned about the sound and the mess being made during the infill process. I'll try gyroid on my next print. It adds two hours, but right now i'm worried the nozzle is going to unstick the print.
