need help setting up a Raspberry Pi zero W / logi C270 / Mk4
hello all,
Right now I have a Blink webcam pointed at my Mk4, but I'd like to instead use a logitech webcam pointed at the bed. After reading the doc, I ordered a Raspberry Pi Zero W, a Logitech C270, an OTG cable, and all the rest. I printed an arm for the camera and... this is where things went south.
I absolutely cannot get this to work on the RPZW. When I used the RPI imager, I went with a default image with a gui. I cannot run Chromium at all, it gives an error that it is unsupported. I installed Firefox ESR, but it never loads any webpage. I tried Midori, and I was able to get that to the Connect.prusa3d.com site, but as soon as I got the "why don't you use 2 factor" popup, I wasn't able to close that window and that is where I got stuck.
I re-imaged it, this time using the Buster image. I can get Midori and Firefox ESR both to launch, but that is kinda it - it takes 5-7 minutes just for the window to open, let alone try to get to the connect page.
Is there something wrong with my RPZW? It's unusably slow, at least in a gui. I thought that this was a supported configuration from the doc but now I am not so sure.
Barring that, is there a way to do this headlessly, instead of with the gui? The ssh terminal is quite responsive. I don't know anything about what Prusa Link is, I am pretty new to this community/ecosystem and have only used Prusa Connect to monitor prints.
Thank you!

Should I be giving up on setting this up with a Raspberry Pi Zero W?

What are you trying to do exactly? Installing a graphical desktop OS on a Raspberry Pi Zero W to monitor a camera image? That is probably too much for that poor Zero with just one core and not a lot of memory. Just as a client for a webcam better use something like MotionEyeOS. I have that running on several Zero Ws and it works fine.

I'm trying to do this: https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/camera-setup-for-prusalink-prusa-connect_470943

Ah, sorry, I never tried that. I was using OctoPrint before I had my first Prusa MK3 and I just kept using that and never felt the need to use another solution. And especially after seeing the many complaints about the "speed" on PrusaLink and PrusaConnect I was not even tempted to try that path.

@jbroggio is the pi connected via gpio and the camera is connected via data in micro USB port not power in if so please take pictures of your setup

Is there any reason not to just use octoprint? Running an entire desktop-level OS just to run prusalink/connect is a bit overkill, and too much for the Zero W (non-2) to handle -- an octoprint installation is much more suited for it.
RE: need help setting up a Raspberry Pi zero W / logi C270 / Mk4
I guess I'm not running Octoprint because I don't want to? I bought the rasperry pi zero W / accessories / webcam because this was listed as a valid configuration in the doc:
https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/camera-setup-for-prusalink-prusa-connect_470943
and that's exactly what I want to do? I don't know anything about Octoprint and I don't want to learn a whole new software that has all the features... I am already doing with prusa connect.

Sure. Here is my setup (attached). While I am trying to get it to work using a USB webcam, I do also own an RPI camera that uses the CSI cable. I have not yet messed with that - I can't get that far - but I'd be happy with using that instead if I could make it work.

The attach file function on the forum is currently broken. I've been having the same issues with attaching zip files using the attach button. The Add Media method or drag and drop into the edit window is apparently still working I've been told.

So if I understand correctly you want a camera to stream to prusalink or do you just want a camera streaming if you want to stream to prusalink via prusa connect then this is not the right pi you'd need at least a 3b if you just want to stream then Google Raspberry pi camera stream and there are many setups out there
