MK4 Wifi won't work
I have a new MK4, just assembled, and I am not able to get the Wifi connection to work: the Wifi icon appears briefly when the printer powers-up, then disappears and Wifi status is "no AP".
The printer is in the same room as the AP, so signal strength should not be an issue (obviously my phone connects to it fine, as does my Prusa SL1 for that matter). My Wifi AP is 2.4 GHz and I have tried rebooting the AP. I am sure the credentials are correct and they contain no non-alphanumeric characters, just upper and lower case alpha and a few numbers. Security is WPA personal. There are no spaces between the "ssid" and "psk" fields and the equals sign, also no spaces between the equals sign and the assigned values. The Wifi module flash update is successful (I have done this several times now), the blue LED on the Wifi module lights when communication occurs, so it appears to be electrically fine.
This is with MK4 FW version 6.0.3+14902 (the latest as I type).
Any other suggestions as to how I might get it to work?

Make sure your 2.4ghz and 5ghz SSID's are different names. Even 1 letter. My router at an update set both SSID's the same and it was connection havoc.
Check the router to make sure that it allows new devices to connect. Do your friends phones connect without any problems?
Under setup, network, make sure WiFi is selected, not Eth.
My ssid has 13 characters. 16 characters in the password. It should at least work with lengths up to 13/16 in the SSID/PW.
Simple ASCII editor to edit the prusa_printer_settings.ini file. On windows Notepad. Word, wordpad etc. add formating characters and mess it up.
Once you get it connected, find the IP address on the MK4. Then in the router, permanently set the IP address to the MAC address of the printer. That way at router reboot, it always assigns the same IP so PrusaLink/PrusaSlicer/ProsaConnect will work consistently once set up.

Yup, different SSIDs (the 5 GHz one has "_5G" on the end and I am not trying to connect to that SSID). No MAC Address filtering on the router, anything that has the right passphrase is allowed in. "Wifi" is selected on the printer. The target SSID is 8 characters ("Meades18"), passphrase is 8 characters, all alpha, all lower case, no numeric.
Frankly, never had anything fail to connect pretty much ever. Have tried using both the Prusa Slicer method of populating the credentials file and using Notepad on Windows. All I can think of is possible "WPA Personal" is not supported by the printer? Not something I'm likely to be able to change as I have some quite ancient stuff connected to my router.

The only thing I see is my SSID is all Capital letters. My router is "WPA2 Personal". I can't make it just "WPA Personal" to test. The ESP8266 supports WPA, WPA2, WEP, but does the Prusa code? Time to get on the help line and see if the MK4 works with "WPA Personal".

As your access point is in the same room you could potentially use a cable, at least until you get on to support to get the wifi sorted.

Thanks both: the printer was only in the same room as the Wifi router in order to do a sanity check, real location is different; in a room that has excellent Wifi signal strength according to my phone, and from which the SL1 will connect happily.
I'll get onto the helpline.
If it's only a temporary location try rotating the printer in place. Wifi is always tricky around large metal parts, especially moving parts (which is why I think Wifi on printers is a bad idea) by rotating the printer you may move Wifi shadows and reflections out of the way. A direct wired connection will always be better.

I have the same issue as Rob Meades: I search for a Wi-Fi network, My printer MK4S finds my network (the network name and password contain neither capital letters or special characters), I see the Wi-Fi logo appear, but it disappears almost immediately. Then, I get an error message saying the printer encountered a problem while connecting. My network is 2.4GHz, and the Wi-Fi signal in the room is excellent. My printer has the latest firmware update.
Have you found any other solutions?
