MK4 Firmware upgrade stuck on boot

I recently tried to update the firmware on my MK4 to FIRMWARE 5.1.0. I placed the .bbf on my thumb drive, started the flash update like normal (I've updated the firmware on this MK4 before with no issue) but once the machine rebooted it gets stuck at 50% on the loading bar and just hangs there, there were no power issues or loss of power at all either. Any idea what I can do to fix this? As of right now the printer seems bricked.

I had the same issue with my Prusa XL. Try downloading the file again and re-flash the printer. If this doesn't work use a different USB drive.  In my case just getting the file again with the same drive worked.

I have the exact same issue, everything was fine until I tried the update that the machine kept prompting me for and I had been ignoring it. I should have kept ignoring it.

Back up and running! After a chat with support, the issue was that my USB was formatted to exFAT. The printer needs FAT32. Reformat a clean USB of a maximum 32gb and install a fresh copy of the firmware from the Prusa site. Insert the USB with the printer powered OFF, turn on the printer while continually pressing the select knob, don't just hold it down, the printer will either start a reflash or bring up an option to reflash. If you get the option to reflash ( I didn't ) just select continue. Mine started automatically and completed successfully. You will have to do a full recalibration, but it's mostly automatic. You will have to touch the hotend (it will be cold) for the load cell test and remove and reinsert filament for the filament sensor test, oh and you'll start with your wireless settings. Other then that, it's easy and quick, I'm already printing my next job! Good luck, hope this helps. Special thanks to Sebastian and Romario in customer support that gave me this solution.

I really appreciate this post, the whole clicking of the select wheel is something I didn't know about and this helped me solve my issue!

This just fixed my issue as well, I used the same drive but a fresh download of the firmware and it worked! Thanks!
