Melting parts near the hotend

Hi.

first things first. English is not my native language. so i apologize if i make some stupid misstakes in gramer or syntax. what was the meme? oh yeah... "My english is not the yellow from the egg" 🤣 Greetings from germany.

I startet out on a Prusa I3 MK3S+ and upgradet to a MK4. the upgrade was totaly smooth sailing. the documentation is AWSOME! Huge shoutout to Prusa for that. a while later i found out that i need to have a controled printingenviroment if i wanna print more chalanging materials like Nylon, ABS or Polycarbonate. so i took the plunge and bought the enclosure. after that i thought i can make the printed parts on my MK4 more "heatresistant" by reprinting them in PC-CF. The parts came out absolutly beautiful. after i printed everything, i took my printer out of the enclosure and started to disassamble everything. and there i noticed something strange on one of the old PETG parts.

This is the part that holds the Hotend onto the gantry. 😨 have you ever encountered such issues? could it be that PETG is simply the wrong coice for this part? or was it because i printet PC-CF in a enclousure?

well... i'm pretty sure the new part will not melt like this old PETG part. or at least i hope so. 😋

By the way... isn't she a beauty now? 😊

I had the same problem. I reprinted the parts in PCCF, though ASA should work fine as well.

Yeah. I also reprinted the part in PC-CF. But i might have gone Overboard with it. 🤒

I reprinted every single part in PC-CF. And it looks awesome. 😎 Dosn't even look like plastic anymore. More like something made out of graphit.

Did i mention that i love to tinker with stuff? 🤣
