Also interested in this. Or even a feature to have the display turn off when the printer is not in use. I'm worried about burn-in on it, would hate for that to happen.

Gentlemen, gentlemen, it seems to me that you do not know anything about the function of the display. This display works on the principle of LCD, not plasma. Therefore, there is nothing to "burn" on it. So I wouldn't be interested in that at all. It could only be considered to turn off the backlight so that the glowing display does not disturb when someone has a printer in the living room.

RE:

Brightness / burning sounds like a symantec, still need dimming, i am sure many will claim power usage as well...

Searching the GitHub shows a request already (660) [FEATURE REQUEST] Enable LCD display timeout · Issue #660 · prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy (github.com) ive added my input to it.

Many Thanks

I think that the power consumption of the display is so low compared to the consumption of other parts of the printer (the Z-axis motors are still powered) that it is not worth brandishing this argument. Only the distracting light. I wrote about last time could be an argument. But this is a matter of opinion.

I, too, would like an auto-dimming display, with max brightness control, as it seems a bit harsh, to me. LCD doesn't burn in like an OLED or a plasma, leaving a ghost image. The backlight does fade over time, though. Don't care about either the burn or the fade. I just don't like the display staying at full brightness.
