How do i recycle the MK4

Initially my MK4 worked perfectly. Then, out of the blue, it wanted me to run the selftest. It started failing in different areas, sometimes it did clear one axis and failed another and reversed that  next selftest. Obviously I have put time into this, went through every imaginable issue.

Reading these forums I have been stunned with the fact that a lot of you think it is perfectly normal to buy a pretty expensive machine and accept that its basically a piece of unreliable machinery, that making them work is a nice way to spend your time just making it work as it should. ”Try this, try that”

it’s like: ”My car doesn’t start” ”how much air pressure do you run in the reartires? Try letting all the air out and fill it with new air” ””Did you try putting in the starting key and twist it”

do i just toss this useless piece of shit in metal recovery directly or should I go over it with a baseball bat like in Office Space before I do that?

Don't be fooled by forum bias. A high proportion of forum posters arrive because they are experiencing issues. There are hundreds of thousands of printers in the wild - we generally have a dozen or so users with issues here at any one time; a vanishingly small percentage.

If you build with care, attend to maintenance, especially in the first few weeks as the machine runs-in and you grow accustomed to it, you are unlikely to have any issues you can't handle.

Feel better now Johan?  If you'd posted like that on one of my forums (not 3D Print) you'd have been banned from further posting until a postable apology was provided.

Having slagged off both the printer and the community in one foul swoop perhaps you should now recognise and accept your lack of temper, calm down, and start again.

Did you build it or buy ready made?  Either way, Prusa support, if given the opportunty and the respect they deserve, will assist, but I do suggest you don't flame war them from the get go!!
