Damaged heatbed. Need replacement
Like the title says. The heatbed is damaged and I need to order a replacement one. Happened when i forgot to put the printer sheet down and the nozzle scratched the copper strips away. No longer heating all the way and throws an error.
where can i get this. Doesn’t seem available for parts

I did that. The solution is to order the heatbed MK52 for the other models and the thermistor for the MK4. I’ll have to either remove the thermistor from my damaged heatbed over to it or use the new one I ordered. They only suggested I order the thermistor so that I had a piece of tap and aluminum tap as well as it might get damaged or not transfer well to the new heatbed.
Easily avoidable mistake and I’m paying the price. I would be curious to know if the sensor prop could’ve been programmed to detect this. There’s 9 screws that hold the heatbed down that are lower than the plane of the heatbed itself. It would seem pretty simple to have a setting that checks the position of these screws against the top of the heatbed and if they’re detected to stop the print and produce and error instead of blindly printing on the heatbed.
Obviously just don’t make this mistake but hey thats my two cents

Another option is to cut the wire on the old thermistor, and solder it on to the thermistor wires for the Mk3 Heatbed.
using heatshrink for the joint, and make the joint inside the X Buddy Box.
