Custom end gcode does not "stick"

I import a file into PrusaSlicer, make desired changes to the end g-code, slice then print the item, however, the changes to the end g-code do not occur.  It reverts back to the original end g-code.  What am I doing wrong?  Am I missing a step to lock the changes in?

Perhaps you are not saving the configuration

when you change printer settings such as end gcode, you should keep a copy of the revised code with a name that will be obvious later

You can also save Print settings, and Filament settings for use later

Joan,

No, I hadn't clicked on the indicated spot, so I did, and it saved the Preset, not the Configuration.  I then went on to slice the part, etc ... but the changes to the end gcode continue to be ignored.

My interest is to not move the extruder after printing, just turn off the heat and disable the steppers.  So, I know it is ignoring the changes to the end gcode because it lifts the Z and parks the extruder in the back right corner after printing the part.

I've repeated the whole sequence six times with the same result every time.

Hi Kurt
when you made the changes, did you remove the existing Park Commands?

regards Joan

Can you post a project file with your gcode changes that demonstrates this issue. It will need zipping before you post it

Attached are the  .3mf and .gcode files.  Both show the custom end gcode within them.

I have another piece of information on this.  I printed the identical file on my MK4 and an MK3S+.  The MK3S+ executed the custom end gcode but the MK4 did not.
